A Revolutionary Pursuit of Place

Skagit Valley Malting (SVM) was founded in 2011 to pursue flavor for craft brewers, distillers, and culinary customers. SVM brings the flavorful terroir of the bountiful Skagit River Valley to these new products from a place outside of the traditional commodified malt system. This allows consumers to have a true taste and sense of place. With patented technology that is designed for variance in Raw materials instead of homogeneity, Skagit Valley Malting continues to push the boundaries of Premium Craft Malt in the US.

Skagit Valley Malting has advantages in technology that allow us to malt a large variety of grains. By designing our system around a process that is versatile (and being able to modify our machines and software in house) we can malt almost any grain, seed, or bean.

Our Facility

With a small batch Pilot Malting machine and 8 full-sized Production Malting machines, we are able to support both our current contracted grain acres and have room for growth and special projects.
